GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
Qualification :
· Bachelor Degree (S1) Geology, Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering,
Masters degree (S2) specializing in rock mechanics will be highly regarded
· Minimum of 5 (five) years relevant experience
· Competency with Surpac and UDEC is preferred, as well as previous experience working in Asia.
· Good communication skills in verbal and written
Scope of work :
· Provision of adequate geotechnical information to assist the safe operating environment of the mine pits.
· Producing pit geotechnical models and maintaining up to date slope parameters suitable for each pit,
· Developing and implementing geotechnical programs - coordinating with mine planning to ensure geotechnical information is available in a timely manner and appropriately implemented,
· providing information to operations on pit slope conditions, identifying key geological and geotechnical factors impacting on pit slope design and stability in each domain.
· Assisting with structural geological mapping and ground control monitoring of open pit mine slopes and identification of existing and or future slope instabilities
